Round Rock Honey Class Locations:

For Alameda:

Parking: It's a suburban neighborhood, there should be parking on our block, please make sure not to block neighbor's driveways.

Arrival: We'll open up our yard 15 minutes before the class starts, no need to arrive very early. We're the blue house with the red mailbox, when it is time for class, just head on down the driveway on the right side of the house to come to the back yard.

  • What to Wear: Beekeeping suits or veils will be provided, please wear a t-shirt with a removable light weight long sleeved shirt/jacket layer, comfortable pants or shorts, and closed toes shoes with socks (longer is better than ankle socks). Layers are a good idea as we are near the bay and it can be hot or cold depending on the moment, and it can be very warm inside the bee suits when we're in the sun. Please don't wear perfume or other heavy scents - the primary way bees communicate is through scent, so we try not to have strong smells around them.

  • Nearby: If you arrive early, Feel Good Bakery is a great spot to grab a quick drink and pastry. If you want to make it a day trip to the island (yes, Alameda is an Island in the bay), there are wonderful restaurants nearby on Park Street - Cholita Linda, Burma Superstar and The Star on Park are our favorites! Rock Wall Winery offers wine tasting with a view of San Francisco, or for another great view, stroll along the nearby Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach.
